Citrix XenApp Hotfix Log Creator

Citrix has released a new tool to verify what hotfixes are installed on your XenApp server.

The XenApp Hotfix Log Creator is a simple command base executable that can be used to provide a quick log with all the hotfix information of a Citrix XenApp 6.0 or 6.5. Very simple to use and if combine with tools like psexec.exe it can be used to capture the same information remotely.

Prerequisites

  • Citrix XenApp 6.0 or Citrix XenApp 6.5
  • .NET Framework 2.0
  • Optional: For remote launching you can combine this tool with PSExec from SysInternals.

How to Use the XenApp Hotfix Log Creator

1. Open Command Prompt

2. Change to the directory to where the XAHFLog.exe is located.

3. Type XAHFLog.exe and press “ENTER”.

After the process is finished a file will be created under the C: drive named ExportXAHotfixes.txt

If you desire to change the location of the log file you can specify the location within the command.

Example: XAHFLog.exe “C:LogsHotfixesXA.txt”

On the example above the file will be created inside C:Logs and the file will be named to HotfixesXA.txt.
