McAfee has released 2 new versions yesterday. ePolicy Orchestrator 5.0 and McAfee Agent 4.8 have been released.
ePolicy Orchestrator 5.0:
What’s new in this version:
Upgrade Compatibility Utility
Use the Upgrade Compatibility Utility to migrate your server configuration from previous ePolicy Orchestrator versions on unsupported server operating systems to a supported operating system. At the same time, identify and prevent incompatible product extensions from running in your ePolicy Orchestrator 5.0 environment.
McAfee Product Improvement Program
Help improve McAfee products by periodically collecting data on ePolicy Orchestrator managed systems.
Policy and Client Task comparison
Compare two policies or two client tasks for differences.
Use snapshots to back up and restore your McAfee ePO server configuration and policy information from a recovery database.
The improved menu helps you easily access the features you use most often.
Simplified product deployment
Plan, run, and monitor product deployments with automatically generated charts from a single, dedicated location in the interface.
McAfee Agent URL deployment
Direct endpoints to a URL to download preconfigured McAfee® Agent installation packages.
Native 64-bit support increases the amount of server memory available, supports more sessions, and improves performance in large-scale environments. This release also makes communication between the McAfee Agent and the McAfee ePO server more efficient.
Improved monitor and chart graphics and animations help you identify critical data. Pages in the interface load faster.
Additional platform support
Install ePolicy Orchestrator on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 SP 2 or later.
Additional browser support
The interface fully supports HTML5 browsers, including Internet Explorer 8 and later, Mozilla Firefox 10 and later, Google Chrome 17 and later, and Safari 6 and later (OS X only).

Here’s a good overview of all supported products within ePolicy Orchestrator 5.0 version.
What’s new in this release:
Agent deployment using the McAfee Smart installer on all platforms
The McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator® (McAfee ePO™) administrator can create a URL to deploy a preconfigured agent and managed products on the client systems. The URL is shared with the user and can be used to download the McAfee Smart installer and install agent.
When installing the McAfee Agent using the McAfee Smart installer, the enhanced user interface displays the progress, such as download status, installation status, and errors.
The McAfee Smart installer can connect to the McAfee ePO server using a proxy server to download and install the agent or McAfee products.
SuperAgent hierarchical updating
The SuperAgents can now download content from other SuperAgents. The SuperAgent follows its policy and tries to connect to the repositories in the defined order. This saves bandwidth by minimizing the need of a client system to communicate on the WAN to download content updates.
Bandwidth savings statistics
You can query the McAfee ePO server for a bandwidth saving report.
RelayServer on Windows, Linux and other non-Windows platforms
Relay capability can be enabled on agents that have direct connectivity to the McAfee ePO server, to bridge communication between the client systems and the McAfee ePO server.
To prevent RelayServers from being misused as proxies, a security mechanism ensures that the RelayServer connects only with the McAfee ePO server or the distributed repositories that are listed in its SiteList.xml file.
