Hotfix CPVS61E016 for Citrix Provisioning Services 6.1

Citrix has released a new hotfix for Provisioning Services 6.1. This hotfix contains fixes for the console, server and target device software. Here’s what’s new in all three categories:

Console Issues

  1. In VMware ESX deployments, the XenDesktop Setup wizard can throw an exception, preventing users from setting up templates and machines properly.

  2. Selecting the Streamed image with Personal Vdisk option of the XenDesktop Setup wizard results in the creation of a fixed disk rather than a dynamic disk.

Citrix AppCenter doesn’t show all policies

As Citrix employees we all write and contribute to the articles in the knowledgebase. This issue I can across a time ago which I believe can happen when not using the latest versions and patches.

When opening the XenApp 6.5 AppCenter console no policies are visible.

Background

When starting the AppCenter console for XenApp 6.5 and viewing the policies section (user and computer) some or all policies are not visible.

McAfee ePO console session time-out

Hi guys,

Do you find it annoying that the ePO console logs you out after 30 minutes inactivity? Well here’s the answer to shorten or extend the time-out period. No need to restart your ePO server completely just a quick edit of the config file and a restart of the ePO server service. That’s it. Here’s how you need to do it.

By default, if you are on a screen in ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 4.x that does not refresh automatically, the session times out after being idle for 30 minutes. However, if you are on a screen that refreshes automatically, the session does not time out.
To verify if the screen refreshes automatically, look at the three icons in the upper right of the window. The middle icon will either be two arrows (manual refresh) or a clock (automatic refresh).
