Lifecycle announcement for Citrix Zenprise Mobile Device Manager

Citrix Systems, Inc. announces this notice of status change for several releases in the Citrix XenApp product line.

The following table details the Citrix Zenprise Mobile Device Manager and Service Manager Lifecycle milestones that are provided in accordance with the guidelines established by the Citrix Product Lifecycle Support Policy.

Citrix Closes Acquisition of Zenprise

Last month Citrix announced it’s intent to acquire Zenprise and now it’s official.

Citrix announced today that it has closed the acquisition of Zenprise, a leading innovator in mobile device management (MDM). As announced on December 5 2012, Citrix will integrate the Zenprise offering for mobile device management, with its Citrix CloudGateway™ and Me@Work™ solutions for managing mobile apps and data. As a result, IT will now have a comprehensive set of tools that make it easy to manage and secure devices, apps and data, while users will now be able to access any app from any device, giving them the freedom to work and play anywhere. Amit Pandey, former Zenprise president and CEO, will lead the new Mobile Platforms product group at Citrix. Citrix will continue to fully support and serve the Zenprise global customer base.

Citrix plans to discuss the financial details of the acquisition during its fourth-quarter 2012 results teleconference.

Citrix intent to acquire ZenPrise

Citrix today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Zenprise® (this is still an intent to acquire and not a acquisition by Citrix yet), a leading innovator in mobile device management (MDM). Following the close of the acquisition, Citrix intends to integrate the Zenprise solution for mobile device management, with its Citrix CloudGateway™ and Me@Work™ solutions for managing mobile apps and data. This powerful combination will give Citrix the first solution in the industry for managing mobile devices, apps and data from a single, integrated enterprise mobility product line. This comprehensive approach can transform any organization into a truly mobile enterprise with the security and control IT requires, the ease of use and flexibility users desire, and the productivity business demands. Subject to closing conditions including regulatory approval, Citrix anticipates closing on the acquisition during the first quarter of 2013. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
