Microsoft has released last week Update Rollup #3 for its System Center 2012 suite.

What’s New in System Center 2012 Service Pack 1 (SP1)
The following list summarizes VMM enhancements and new functionality in the System Center 2012 SP1 release. Additional details are provided further below.
- System Requirements:
Changes to supported versions of the operating system, and other required software. For a complete list of supported configurations, see System Requirements for System Center 2012 – Virtual Machine Manager. - Networks:
- New model for virtual machine networking, including network virtualization and VLANs for network isolation.
- Management of the Hyper-V extensible switch, including deployment and configuration of virtual switch extensions using a new logical switch concept.
- Support for Network Virtualization with the support for using DHCP to assign customer addresses, and for using either the IP rewrite or Network Virtualization with Generic Routing Encapsulation (NVGRE) mechanism to virtualize the IP address of a virtual machine. When you install the SCVMM 2012 you can assign some of the ports that it will use for communications and file transfers between the VMM components.

Create failover cluster in SCVMM2012
After the Hyper-V hosts are configured and doing well in the Fabric, it`s time to take another step toward the highly available environment that everyone is demanding in today’s businesses. It`s time for Failover Clustering.Reminder:
Both of my physical servers was installed with Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise SP1
There are 4 NICs pre-configured on the servers, and both servers are joined to my domain.
Both servers are connected to the iSCSI-target (used for CSV in my lab).
I`ve created a RunAs account in the ‘Host computer’ category for managing my physical servers.
