Hotfix XS61E001 for XenServer 6.1.0

It’s not that long ago that Citrix has released version 6.1.0 for it’s XenServer product. Today they have released the first hotfix for this version.

This hotfix resolves the following issues:

After installing XenServer 6.1.0, multipathing will only use one path for Software iSCSI on arrays which contain the same IQN on multiple target portals. As a result, customers will see only one active path and will not successfully failover in the event of an infrastructure issue. This hotfix resolves this issue.

NOTE: Customers who are currently experiencing this problem should detach and re-attach the Storage Repositories (SRs) after applying the hotfix. However, customers who cannot detach and re-attach the SR, should refer to CTX135277 – Workaround for the Multipathing Behavior Change in XenServer 6.1.0 for a temporary workaround.

You can download the hotfix (and find installation instructions) here at the Citrix Knowledge Base.
